Mykola Kovinya is a well-known Ukrainian intellectual property expert with high-profile experience in both the public and private sectors. Mykola has a Master of Laws degree and a PhD in Chemistry, and has an excellent expertise in pharmaceuticals and organic chemistry.

As a private patent and trademark attorney, he acted for various local and international clients in a number of complex trademark and patent disputes across a range of industries.

Mykola’s track record includes working at the Department of Organic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical department of the Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Property. At the height of his government career, in 2012 – 2014 Mykola served as the Chair of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian IP office).
