On January 10, 2025, the Prime Minister of Ukraine addressed the Verkhovna Rada during the Question Time for the Government, outlining the Government’s defense sector priorities for the year:
launching long-term contracts with manufacturers for 3-5 years under the Weapons of Victory project;
expanding funding for Ukrainian long-range defense programs;
developing the “Danish model”, where partners purchase weapons from the Ukrainian defense industry to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army;
increasing localization and encourage the involvement of international defense companies in weapon production in Ukraine; and
strengthening the innovation component and providing support for private manufacturers through grants for defense research and development.
Moreover, the Prime Minister of Ukraine stated that domestic defense companies plan to increase existing production capacities to USD 30 billion.
