The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Aerospace, Security and Defence Association (ASD Europe) to strengthen cooperation in the defence sector.
The Memorandum aims to promote the common interests of Ukrainian industry and ASD Europe members by supporting partnerships between Ukrainian defence companies and ASD Europe members and facilitating the involvement of Ukrainian companies in EU industrial consortia under relevant programs. The Memorandum is valid for three years, with the possibility of extension.
One of the first steps under the Memorandum will be the launch of ASD Connect, a new B2B online platform designed to help Ukrainian and European defence companies find partners and build joint projects.
ASD, headquartered in Brussels, represents over 4,000 companies across Europe, accounting for 98% of the industry's turnover and 93% of total employment. The association promotes the global competitiveness of Europe’s aerospace, security, and defence industries, providing technical expertise and advocating common positions on behalf of its members.
This partnership is a key step toward integrating Ukraine into the European defence ecosystem and advancing its strategic industrial capabilities.
