Ukroboronprom, Ukraine’s state-owned defence concern, has signed strategic memorandums with two major European defence companies — Germany’s Rheinmetall and Spain’s Escribano — to establish joint arms production in Ukraine.
The agreement with Rheinmetall includes the creation of a joint venture for artillery shell production on Ukrainian territory.
The memorandum with Escribano covers the repair, maintenance, and development of combat modules, as well as their local production. The companies will cooperate to adapt Spanish systems to Ukrainian platforms and jointly develop new solutions for infantry needs.
These partnerships mark an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defence industry and deepening cooperation with European partners
