On 1 June 2018, Aequo launched the second round of AEQUO Friends 2018, the first-of-a-kind online legal internship programme by a Ukrainian law firm.

The key objective of this innovative platform is to react promptly to unplanned increases in work volumes, enhance business processes, and improve the client care experience, as well as to build an effective talent pool and to ensure effective outstaffing of lawyers to clients in the future.

Students will interact with mentors through a platform by receiving assignments and feedback online, and will be able to choose assignments based on type of work and practice area, thereby becoming better-equipped to make the right career choices and to gain experience while working on landmark projects and becoming members of the AEQUO Friends community. This collaboration offers the opportunity for students to continue their studies in comfort and to arrange their internship in the most efficient manner.

Anyone interested in the project is invited to fill out an application form at friends.aequo.ua. The deadline for submission of applications is 20 July 2018.

Anna Babych, Aequo’s Partner, comments: “We are delighted with the excellent results achieved in the first year of Aequo Friends’ operation. Over 180 applications from students of top 30 Ukrainian universities, living both in Ukraine and abroad (Germany, Italy, Lithuania), demonstrated high demand for an innovative online internship. Doing internship through a digital platform is aligned to our overall innovation strategy. Two talented students, who impressed us by outstanding results, joined Aequo team. We are inspired and strongly believe in even more successful second round. You are brilliant. Join Aequo Friends.”
