The Impact of Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine on Commercial Disputes

Pavlo Byelousov, Aequo’s Partner, recently co-authored an article, “The Impact of Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine on Commercial Disputes”, with Scott Vesel and Katherine Shen from Three Crowns, for Corporate Disputes Magazine.  

The article provides an overview of contractual disputes that are likely to arise as a consequence of sanctions or countersanctions, and foreign companies’ decisions to exit the Russian market – or a combination of both.  

Also, authors consider the types of investment disputes that can be brought against Russia under bilateral investment treaties, and the possibility of Russian investors bringing investment disputes against Ukraine.
