Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Airlogix will launch a joint venture with Canadian drone producer Sentinel R&D.
The joint venture will manufacture drones in Canada for Ukraine’s Defence Forces. The companies have not disclosed which UAV model will be produced, but Airlogix said it will be one of its own systems.
The project follows an agreement between the defence ministries of Ukraine and Canada to support production of Ukrainian UAVs in Canada.
Sentinel R&D already produces fixed-wing drones and has manufacturing infrastructure that could support a faster production launch. Airlogix said Sentinel’s experience in rapid composite manufacturing was one of the key reasons for the partnership.
The cooperation is aimed at scaling drone production outside Ukraine and accelerating supply of UAV systems to Ukrainian forces.
