Buntar Aerospace raises $10.4M from Axon Enterprise
Ukrainian defence-tech company Buntar Aerospace has secured USD 10.4 million in a new funding round led by Axon Enterprise, a global leader in public safety technologies. The round also included participation from Norwegian investment consortium Munkene AS and other private investors.
The investment will support the scaling of production of Buntar-3 reconnaissance UAV systems and the further development of the company’s mission management software Buntar Copilot.
Buntar Aerospace focuses on developing next-generation intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities by combining real battlefield experience with advanced engineering solutions. Its technologies are designed to enable earlier threat detection, improve situational awareness, and support faster decision-making in high-risk operational environments.
As part of the funding round, Buntar Aerospace and Axon are also advancing a strategic partnership focused on commercial cooperation and technology integration. The collaboration aims to expand access to ISR capabilities, providing operators with real-time intelligence and improving their ability to respond quickly and effectively to threats.
Axon’s ecosystem, which includes sensors, drones, AI-powered software, and real-time operational tools, is expected to complement Buntar’s battlefield-tested solutions and contribute to more integrated and scalable defence and security technologies.
