The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has introduced a simplified procurement model for innovative defence products to accelerate their testing and deployment within the Armed Forces.
The new approach allows faster purchase of technologies, software, and other solutions intended to enhance military capabilities, reducing the time between development and operational use.
Under the updated system, selected units of the Armed Forces receive new products for battlefield testing in real combat conditions. Based on performance results, military users assess effectiveness and decide whether the solutions should be included in formal procurement requirements.
The model is designed to ensure that only tested and effective technologies are scaled for wider deployment, improving the quality of equipment supply and reducing the use of unverified or inefficient systems.
