Molfar raises EUR 2 million led by Front Ventures
Polish Ukrainian radar startup Molfar Defence Technologies has raised €2 million at a €15 million valuation.
The lead investor was Swedish investment company Front Ventures, which invested €1.5 million for a 10% stake in the company.
The funding will be used to expand Molfar’s engineering team in radar technologies, signal processing and system integration. The company is also opening an office in Ukraine to work closer with military units involved in testing and validating its systems.
Molfar develops tactical radar systems for detecting low-flying and slow-moving aerial targets, including microdrones and small UAVs. The company’s technology uses signal processing algorithms and target signature analysis to distinguish drones from other objects.
The system is designed for use near frontline units and as part of layered air defence networks. Molfar has already filed several patent applications for its radar detection technology.
