German defence tech company Quantum Systems has announced the launch of two joint ventures with defence tech companies, WIY Drones and Tencore, under the Build with Ukraine programme to expand production of drone and robotic systems.
The first venture, Quantum WIY Industries, is being created with WIY Drones to manufacture and scale interceptor UAVs and related air defence technologies. WIY Drones develops interceptor, reconnaissance, and strike drones, as well as ground control systems. The joint venture builds on previous cooperation, including a contract for 15,000 WIY STRILA interceptor drones for the National Guard of Ukraine, and is aimed at scaling production capacity and further developing interceptor drone solutions.
The second venture, Quantum Tencore Industries, is being established with Tencore to produce unmanned ground vehicles, including the TerMIT platform. The venture focuses on industrial-scale manufacturing of robotic ground systems for defence use, combining Ukrainian platform development with European production capabilities.
The creation of these entities expands Quantum Systems’ network of joint ventures with Ukrainian manufacturers, forming dedicated production structures for specific product lines in drones and ground robotics.
