TAF Industries and Summa Defence establish UAV production joint venture in Finland
Ukrainian defence company TAF Industries and Finnish Summa Defence are launching UAV production in Finland to manufacture systems for Ukraine using Finnish industrial capacity.
The production is being built within the “Build with Ukraine” model, which shifts part of Ukrainian defence manufacturing to partner countries to ensure stable output and faster scaling. The Finnish site will use Summa Defence’s infrastructure to produce UAV-related defence products.
TAF Industries provides the UAV technologies and product line, while Summa Defence contributes manufacturing facilities and integration into Finland’s industrial ecosystem. The focus is on scaling production capacity for drones and related defence systems that are already in use by Ukraine.
TAF Industries produces FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs, interceptor drones, electronic warfare systems, and remote-control technologies. The company operates its own R&D centre and distributed production network, which supports rapid development and deployment of new systems.
