Ukrainian defence company TOLOKA, which develops autonomous underwater drones, has raised investment from US-Ukrainian venture fund NETWORK.VC DEFENSE. The amount was not disclosed.

The funding will be used to develop TOLOKA’s technologies, scale production, and expand into international defence markets.

TOLOKA’s product line includes autonomous underwater vehicles ranging from 2.5 m to 12 m in length: TOLOKA-200, TOLOKA-400, and TOLOKA-1000. The platforms are designed for reconnaissance, engineering, special, strike, communication, and long-range maritime missions.

The company’s key technology is GPS-independent underwater navigation based on inertial sensors, trajectory correction algorithms, and AI-based orientation in underwater environments. The systems can operate autonomously or in coordinated groups, with some configurations able to remain in standby mode for up to three months.
