Ukraine and Germany launch “Industrial Ramstein” initiative for industrial recovery

06 Травня 2026

The National Development Institution of Ukraine is preparing to implement a joint Ukrainian–German initiative called “Industrial Ramstein,” aimed at restoring and modernising Ukraine’s industrial sector.

The initiative is based on a Joint Declaration of Intent signed by Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin.

Germany will provide an initial €30 million through KfW to support the programme. Funding will primarily target war-affected enterprises and the development of high value-added production.

The initiative will use a mix of financial instruments, including grants, loans, and guarantees, to support individual companies and projects. Priority areas include industrial modernisation, relocation or launch of new production facilities, and integration into European supply chains.

The programme is expected to expand into a broader international cooperation framework, with plans to involve additional partners under the “Industrial Ramstein” initiative.
