Ukraine’s Brave1 defence tech cluster and France’s Defence Innovation Agency have signed an agreement to launch Brave France, a joint grant programme for Ukrainian and French defence companies.
The programme budget is €20 million, with each side contributing €10 million. The maximum grant size will be €1 million.
The programme will support joint development of missile technologies, unmanned systems, advanced counter-air threat solutions and other defence technologies.
The first call is planned for September 2026. Testing will be conducted through the Test in Ukraine platform, with validation in real combat conditions.
Brave1 and the French Defence Innovation Agency are currently forming a joint executive board, finalising focus areas and setting up expert commissions. The agreement was signed at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris.
