Aequo advised Bunge on obtaining AMCU clearance for the acquisition of ViOil’s assets
Aequo’s Antitrust & Competition team advised Bunge in connection with obtaining approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of PJSC Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant.
Bunge is one of the key players in Ukraine’s agribusiness and food sectors, operating in the country since 2002. The company is a leading oilseed processor and exporter of grains and oilseeds, as well as the producer of Oleyna, one of Ukraine’s most popular sunflower oil brands.
ViOil is among the largest vegetable oil producers in Ukraine. The Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant is a versatile facility processing sunflower, rapeseed, and soybeans.
Competition is not only about following the rules — it’s about driving growth and building resilient businesses. We are proud to support Bunge — a company that not only expands its own operations but also makes a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s agricultural sector,” said Mariya Nizhnik, Partner at Aequo.
Aequo continues to support clients in implementing strategic investment projects in Ukraine, particularly in the agribusiness sector, which is critical to the country’s economy and food security.
