On October 4-5, 2024, Brave1 held the first Defence Tech Valley investment summit in Kyiv, focusing on Ukrainian defence innovations.
Key highlights:
(i) 1,300 participants, including 100+ international investors
(ii) 650 developers from 250+ teams presented projects
(iii) Projected investment deals worth up to $50 million by year-end
(iv) Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy PM for Innovation, stated Brave1 had issued $8 million in grants over 18 months, emphasizing the need for international funding.
Outcomes:
(v) Memorandum signed with CenSec (Danish Defence, Space and Security Center)
(vi) Platform for future growth of Ukraine's defence tech industry established
The event united Government, military, and business representatives in enhancing Ukraine's defence capabilities through technological innovation.
