Ukrainian defence companies have received the first export clearances
Ukrainian defence companies have begun receiving the first official clearances to export weapons and components abroad. The decision was approved by the Interagency Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation Policy and Export Control during its first meeting in eight months. Exports will be strictly controlled, and supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine will remain the top priority.
At the same time, Ukraine is creating a network of state arms export centers in EU countries. Ten offices are planned by the end of 2026, and the first one has been announced in Germany.
Three main models have been established for international cooperation: Build in Ukraine, Build with Ukraine, and Buy from Ukraine. These models include joint production and the use of Ukrainian technologies and licenses in partner countries. This framework gives Ukrainian military technology developers a legal and organizational basis to enter the global market.
