Ukrainian defence-tech startup OSIRIS AI, a developer of advanced operating systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), has secured investment from an international partner. While the financing details remain undisclosed, the company notes that the support will significantly accelerate the development of its line of autonomous UAV technologies, including its flagship platform "OSIRIS DroneOS".
OSIRIS DroneOS is an autonomy-focused operating system that runs on a lightweight Linux platform and uses container-based software for easy updates and reliability. It enables drones to function independently, processing mission data in real time without requiring continuous operator oversight. The platform is compatible with a broad range of hardware, features robust secure communication capabilities, and incorporates a special integrated app store.
The company aims to create a unified ecosystem for UAV and counter-UAV technologies, bringing together AI developers, electronics manufacturers, and end users.
In addition to securing new investment, OSIRIS AI has also signed a strategic partnership agreement with DefDrones to jointly advance unmanned systems. The collaboration will integrate the OsirisOS software ecosystem with DefDrones’ high-performance microelectronics, allowing the companies to develop scalable, reliable drone and robotics solutions more rapidly.
