Aequo Lawyers Help Draft World Bank’s Doing Business 2016 Report

Aequo's partners Anna Babych and Oleksandr Mamunya and counsel Pavlo Byelousov contributed to the preparation of the World Bank’s Doing Business 2016 – Measuring Regulatory Quality and Efficiency report. The report was launched in October 2015 with great success and extensive media coverage. In the World Bank’s 2016 Doing Business ranking Ukraine strengthened its position and climbed from 87th to 83rd.

Doing Business 2016 – Measuring Regulatory Quality and Efficiency is the thirteenth in a series of annual reports investigating the regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it. The report provides quantitative indicators covering 11 areas of the business environment in 189 economies.

The goal of the Doing Business series is to provide objective data for use by governments in designing sound business regulatory policies and to encourage research on the important dimensions of the regulatory environment for firms.
