Aequo advises the Cropio Group on the sale of its business to Syngenta

Aequo has acted as legal counsel to The Cropio Group, an agriculture tech company, on the sale of all of its business to Syngenta, one of the world’s largest agricultural companies, employing approximately 28,000 people across 90 countries.

The Cropio Group, which was founded in 2014, has a presence in more than 50 countries and is focused primarily on Eastern Europe. Cropio will remain a standalone company, owned by Syngenta. Cropio provides farm management software, with about 10 million hectares of crops currently under management. The software provides imaging, record-keeping and equipment-tracking functions.

Aequo’s team provided comprehensive legal support to The Cropio Group regarding all matters of Ukrainian law, including the structuring of the transaction, drafting and negotiating of the transaction documentation and completion of the sale.

“We are grateful to the Cropio Group for the opportunity to be a part of this landmark transaction, which confirms investors' interest in the Eastern European high-tech product-based companies,’’ commented Bohdan Dmukhovsyy, Counsel, who led the Aequo project team.
