Aequo is among winners of the 2023 Partnership for Sustainability Award, an annual international campaign in which the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine recognizes the best projects implemented in partnership between business, government, and civil society to achieve the SDGs, protect the environment, solve social challenges, and promote peace. 160 cases from 13 countries (Ukraine, Great Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Poland, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey) were submitted to compete in 5 categories: “Society”, “Planet”, “Prosperity” and “Warriors of Light”.

This year’s ceremony revolved around partnerships as a key driver for sustainable recovery of Ukraine followed by an expert discussion, having its focus on humanitarian challenges and the importance of international support for Ukraine’s economic and social stabilization.

Aequo’s prolific pro bono cooperation with Superhumans, all-Ukrainian innovative medical center for Ukrainians with complex war traumas, won in the “Warriors of Light” category. The firm has been providing legal services since May, 2023.

“We are sincerely grateful to Superhumans for this incredible opportunity to be involved into an impactful journey of giving Ukrainians a superhero life they deserve.

At Aequo we dearly appreciate our long-lasting partnership with the UN Global Compact which from the very beginning resulted in the synergetic effect of collective action,” – shared Michael Lukashenko, Partner.

On 10 October, Aequo released its Sustainability Report to communicate the progress achieved in 2022-2023. The Report highlights the best ESG practices implemented by the firm as well as its commitment to rebuilding Ukraine.
