Aequo announces promotions to Counsel and Senior Associate positions

Aequo is pleased to announce promotions within the firm following its annual performance review.  

Iryna Halych and Vladyslav Dvortsov have been promoted to Counsels, while Pavlo Otenko, Mariia Stepanenko and Dmytro Shudrenko have been promoted to Senior Associates. 

Iryna Halych represents clients in complex commercial, civil and administrative disputes, as well as in bankruptcy proceedings. She has significant experience in handling criminal proceedings related to commercial and civil matters and regularly represents foreign investors in multi-million disputes on damages arising from fraudulent activities. Iryna also advises major Ukrainian companies in complex employment disputes and handles litigation related to the recovery of war-related damages, including their assessment and quantification. 

Vladyslav Dvortsov focuses on international arbitration and cross-border litigation. He has over 12 years of experience representing clients in complex, high-value disputes across multiple jurisdictions and before leading arbitral institutions, including LCIA, VIAC, ICC, and the ICAC at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His practice spans a wide range of industries, including energy, insurance, defence, and real estate. Vladyslav regularly advises clients from both the private and public sectors. 

Pavlo Otenko specialises in international arbitration and domestic litigation, with a focus on commercial disputes. He has substantial experience representing clients in complex cross-border disputes and advises on the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and court judgments across multiple jurisdictions. 

Mariia Stepanenko advises on complex litigation projects and represents clients in corporate, commercial and administrative disputes. She has significant experience in bankruptcy and cross-border disputes and representsboth domestic and international companies before Ukrainian courts across a range of industries, including energy, real estate, aviation and defence. 

Dmytro Shudrenko focuses on international finance and Ukrainian regulatory matters. He advises Ukrainian and international clients, including international financial institutions (IFIs) and development finance institutions (DFIs), on a wide range of financial transactions, including lending, equity and trade finance. Dmytro is also involved in projects aimed at implementing Ukraine’s European integration reforms.
