Aequo law firm has once again confirmed its leading position in the Ukrainian market according to the results of the international ranking Chambers and Partners Global 2026.
For the second consecutive year, Aequo is the only firm in Ukraine ranked Band 1 in two practices simultaneously — Corporate/M&A and Dispute Resolution: Domestic. The firm is also highly ranked in Dispute Resolution: International, highlighting the team’s strong track record both in national courts and in international disputes.
Individual recognitions
Oleksii Filatov received Band 1 in Dispute Resolution: Domestic, reaffirming his status as one of Ukraine’s leading litigation lawyers. During the research period, under his leadership the team secured a final decision in favour of Naftogaz of Ukraine in a landmark International Chamber of Commerce arbitration against Gazprom worth USD 1.3 billion.
Anna Babych was once again ranked Band 1 in Corporate/M&A, confirming her position among the leaders of Ukraine’s M&A market. During the research period, the team under her leadership advised on complex cross-border transactions and strategic investment projects significant for Ukraine’s economy.
Michael Lukashenko was recognised in Band 3 in Corporate/M&A. As the head of Aequo’s defence industry group, he is actively involved in transactions and partnerships in the defence and national security sectors.
Olena Pertsova was ranked Band 4 in Dispute Resolution: Domestic for her expertise in complex commercial and regulatory disputes.
Denys Lysenko received Band 5 in Corporate/M&A, reflecting his active role in advising on significant corporate projects.
Yevhen Levitskyi was recognised as Up and Coming in Dispute Resolution: Domestic, confirming his growing professional influence in the market.
