AEQUO served as the exclusive legal partner of the Kyiv International Economic Forum

20 Жовтня 2025
  • AEQUO is proud to join the Kyiv International Economic Forum 2025 — a key platform for open public dialogue about the future of Ukraine’s economy.
The event brought together around 1,000 participants — entrepreneurs, business leaders, government officials, and media representatives. The programme was truly jam-packed: across three conference halls, participants engaged in dynamic and thoughtful discussions on economic growth, investment, industry, finance, energy resilience, defence technologies, and global markets.

One of the Forum’s key themes traditionally focused on business–government dynamics — investor protection, the efforts of government institutions to build a predictable and stable business environment in Ukraine, and the fight against the shadow economy.

AEQUO Senior Partner Oleksiy Filatov moderated the panel discussion “Protecting Investors. Building Trust”, featuring:

  • Ruslan Kravchenko, Prosecutor General of Ukraine

  • Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, Director, Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine

  • Lesia Karnaukh, Acting Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine

  • Kateryna Zagoriy, Member of the Board of Directors at Darnytsa Pharmaceutical Company, Co-founder of Zagoriy Foundation

  • Ruslan Shostak, Founder and co-owner of the national retail chains EVA and VARUS, President of Terwin Corporation, founder of the Ruslan Shostak Charitable Foundation

  • Oleksandr Sokolovskyi, Owner of Textil-KONTAKT, the leading national operator of light industry.

The discussion became one of the most engaging and intense sessions of the Forum. Business representatives shared personal stories of pressure from law enforcement, the challenges of competing with the shadow economy, and the realities of investing during wartime — while newly appointed government officials emphasized their commitment to systemic renewal and direct dialogue with society.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko presented the results of the StopPressure digital platform — a tool for businesses to report cases of unlawful interference, enabling verification, classification, and coordinated institutional response.

Lesia Karnaukh, Acting Head of the State Tax Service, highlighted efforts toward business de-shadowing, fair taxation, and joint initiatives with the Ministry of Finance to introduce the Tax Gap methodology aimed at increasing transparency in the tax system.

Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi emphasized that the Bureau of Economic Security is now prioritizing the prevention of economic crimes, developing clear principles of communication with entrepreneurs, and improving mechanisms for responding to complaints.

Overall, KIEF 2025 showcased Ukraine’s unwavering resilience and confirmed that building a competitive, strong state is no longer just a vision for the future — it is the reality we are creating today.

We are proud that this year AEQUO served as the exclusive legal partner of the Kyiv International Economic Forum!
