Aequo advises Novus Ukraine on the acquisition of Billa supermarket chain in Ukraine

Aequo advised Novus Ukraine on the acquisition of Billa supermarket chain in Ukraine. The deal is structured as an acquisition of a 100% stake in Billa Ukraine by UAB Consul Trade House (the shareholder of Novus Ukraine). The deal is subject to approval by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

Novus has been developing a retail chain in Ukraine since 2009. And currently Novus has a network of 46 stores in Ukraine with a total area footprint exceeding 220,00 sq.m. of shopping space.

The Austrian chain Billa, part of REWE Group, has 35 stores in Ukraine, located in Kyiv, the Kyiv region and in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
