Aequo Honored with “Idea to Change the Country” Trophy for the Best CSR Projects

On December 12, Aequo was awarded the “Idea to Change the Country” trophy in the National Competition for the Best CSR Projects 2016 – “Business for Change”.

This initiative, which is based on the 10th objectives of the UN Sustainable Development programme, is organized annually in Ukraine by the CSR Development Centre, which brings together the best practices in this field.

Aequo was awarded for its Rate Your Judge App initiative. The objective of this project is to ensure the rule of law, the fair trial, strengthen procedural compliance, increase transparency and accountability of judges by aggregating attorneys at law and legal professionals’ feedback and proactively identifying judges who are prone to abuse their powers and commending the best performing ones.

35 projects of 26 companies were submitted in 9 categories related to the various UN sustainable development objectives and evaluated by an international jury of experts (India, Turkey, Bulgaria, Latvia, Belgium, Israel) according to the originality, the innovation, the employee involvement, the relevance and the impact of each project.
