Aequo Wins Legal Awards 2017 in Two Categories

On May 17, 2017, the eleventh Legal Awards ceremony took place in the InterContinental Hotel, Kyiv. The Legal Awards is established by the weekly Yuridicheskaya Practika (Legal Practice) Publishing and is regarded as Ukraine’s Legal Oscar.

AEQUO has been shortlisted in 14 categories and won two trophies of Legal Awards 2017:

• The Best Lawyer in Corporate and M&A – Anna Babych, partner,

• Law Firm of the Year in Arbitration.

Furthermore, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine recognized Anna Babych’s significant contribution to the development of corporate law in Ukraine.

AEQUO has also been nominated for the Law Firm of The Year in Corporate, Competition, Intellectual Property, Banking and Finance, Real Estate, IT, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Media and Communications, as well as Law Firm of the Year. Denis Lysenko, managing partner, has been shortlisted for “The Best Lawyer in Competition”, Yulia Kyrpa, partner, for “The Best Lawyer in Restructuring” and Pavlo Byelousov, counsel, for “The Best Lawyer in Arbitration”.

The awards were presented in 43 categories. Legal Awards recognize the best law firms and best lawyers in Ukraine demonstrating excellence in delivery of legal services, significant transactional and dispute resolution projects, strong financial performance, high-profile Ukrainian and foreign clients, partners’ participation in law firm management, and pro bono activities.
