Alina Podolyak joins AEQUO in IP Practice

Aequo is pleased to announce that Alina Podolyak has joined AEQUO’s Intellectual Property practice as a senior associate. Alina is an attorney with eight years of experience in trademarks, patents, copyright, and domain disputes.

Earlier in September, Aequo has welcomed Tetiana Kudrytska, counsel, and Mykola Kovinya, of counsel, two renowned Ukrainian IP practitioners with a rare blend of public and private sector expertise, namely.

Tetiana Kudrytska is an attorney with over 12 years of experience in both private and government sectors and a focus on IP, media, and commercial litigation. In 2014, Tetiana joined a judicial reform project team with the Presidential Administration of Ukraine as the Head of the Judicial Reform Department. In this role, Tatiana gained extensive and unique experience working on, inter alia, the legislation on the new rules of civil and commercial proceedings, including particular focus on IP disputes, and on the setting and operations of the High Intellectual Property Court.

Mykola Kovinya is a well-known Ukrainian intellectual property expert with high-profile experience in both public and private sectors. At the top of his government career in 2012 – 2014 Mykola served as the Chair of the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian IP office). Given he is a Ph.D. in Chemistry, he has excellent expertise in pharmaceuticals and organic chemistry. As a private patent and trademark attorney, he has acted for various local and international clients in complex trademark and patent disputes across a range of industries.
